Jason Heath
CFP
Managing Director
Jason has been providing fee-only, advice-only financial planning since 2002 and is one of Canada's best-known fee-for-service financial planners. He is a personal finance columnist for the Financial Post, MoneySense, and Canadian MoneySaver, and is a frequent media source for unbiased and objective financial planning commentary.
Jason graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree from York University in Toronto. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. In addition, Jason has completed numerous financial, tax, and estate planning specialty courses from a variety of organizations.
Jason has a particular interest in working with clients with complex planning issues, including high-net-worth executives and retirees, incorporated business owners, and Canadian expats in other countries. His focus is primarily on retirement accumulation and decumulation, tax strategy, and estate planning.
He has three children and lives with his wife in Pickering, Ontario.
Larry Tomlin

Larry is a highly experienced accountant and trusted advisor who has served professionals, family-owned businesses, and independent Canadian entrepreneurs for over 40 years. He has advised hundreds of families during his career and is known for his diligence, attention to detail, and thoughtful, client-focused approach to tax and accounting matters.
Larry has founded and grown sold several successful accounting practices. Along the way, he developed a deep interest in professional governance and standards, serving three terms on the CMA Board of Governors and chairing or serving on multiple committees responsible for the supervision of accounting practices. In recognition of this service, he has been named as a Fellow of CPA Ontario.
He holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School and has earned numerous professional designations in fields including corporate governance and investment management .
Larry is pleased to be part of the growing team at Objective Tax & Accounting Inc. He lives in Toronto with his wife and has two adult children.
Ryan Kurtz
CFP, CPA
Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Professional Accountant
Ryan has a strong tax and financial planning background as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He studied at Lethbridge College, where he obtained a Diploma in Accounting, as well as the University of Lethbridge, where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Ryan specializes in advising business owners and incorporated owner-managers on financial planning and accounting matters.
Ryan is a volunteer with the Canadian Ski Patrol, demonstrating his dedication to community service and safety. He has served on the board as Treasurer, managing financial responsibilities for the non-profit organization.
Residing in Lethbridge, Alberta, with his wife and four children, Ryan leads a balanced life, indulging in his passion for outdoor activities and community involvement. In his spare time, he can be found biking or skiing with the family, or spending time in the woodshop.
Kevin Empey
Senior Tax Accountant
Kevin is an experienced accountant with more than 14 years of personal and corporate tax experience. He began his career with a national accounting firm in Winnipeg before transferring to Saskatchewan, and has spent the past decade helping individuals, trusts, small business owners, and farmers on a wide range of tax and accounting matters.
Kevin specializes in tax prep and planning and takes pride in helping clients identify opportunities to reduce tax. In addition to his professional career, he brings firsthand entrepreneurial experience as the former owner of an oilfield service company operating in both Saskatchewan and Alberta, giving him valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing business owners.
Kevin lives in Saskatchewan with his wife and four children. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching his kids' sports teams, playing basketball and golf, taking ski trips to the mountains, and spending time at the lake fishing and swimming.
Marcos Heringer
Senior Tax Accountant
Marcos is a seasoned accounting professional with more than 20 years of experience delivering comprehensive financial and tax services. His expertise spans full-cycle accounting, payroll, and corporate and personal tax compliance, supporting clients in public service, a wide range of small businesses, and diverse individual circumstances.
Known for his analytical, detail-oriented, and client-focused approach, Marcos combines strong technical expertise with clear, practical communication. He also brings extensive experience in tax planning and advisory services, helping clients make informed, strategic financial decisions. Marcos holds a Business Accounting education.
Based in Windsor, Ontario, Marcos lives with his wife and is a proud father of a police officer and a registered nurse.
Guillaume Dumais

Guillaume is a fully bilingual (English/French) financial planner and accountant with deep expertise in taxation, estate and trust planning, and integrated wealth planning for individuals and business owners. He works closely with clients to develop clear, practical strategies that address complex financial issues while remaining grounded in real-world implementation.
Guillaume holds a master's degree in taxation (Master of Fiscal Sciences) and is a licensed Financial Planner in Québec. He is also a Chartered Administrator and a Trust and Estate Practitioner, reflecting advanced training in governance, fiduciary matters, and intergenerational planning. In addition, he has completed advanced postgraduate studies in taxation and holds specialized credentials in legal and regulatory financial planning.
He began his career in the investment industry, gaining a strong foundation in financial products and regulatory frameworks. Today, his practice is advice-driven, with a focus on tax optimization, estate planning, business structuring, and long-term wealth preservation.
Guillaume is known for his ability to translate technically complex tax and legal concepts into straightforward, actionable advice. His planning approach is highly customized, recognizing that effective financial decisions must align with each client's personal goals, family dynamics, and broader financial picture.
Guillaume lives in Montréal with his husband and is actively involved in Québec's financial planning and professional advisory community as an Ambassador for the Institut de planification financière.
Paul McVean

Senior Tax Accountant
Paul works with a wide range of clients, but specializes in providing sophisticated advice to incorporated owner/managers with respect to corporate structuring, compensation strategies, sale and succession planning, estate freezes, and estate planning.
He began his tax career over 25 years ago at one of the big four accounting firms, where he was involved in public accounting, tax planning, and compliance. Paul has also worked in wealth management at one of Canada's largest independent wealth management firms as Regional Vice President, Wealth Planning, as well as two fee-only financial planning firms providing complex financial, tax, and estate planning solutions.
He holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree and has also earned the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designations, and also is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a U.K. based professional body.
Patricia Greco

Patricia brings over 30 years of experience as a Chartered Professional Accountant and more than seven years as a Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist. She specializes in guiding individuals through the financial complexities of separation and divorce, offering strategic, cost-effective solutions that reduce stress and support informed decision-making.
With additional training in Mediation and Collaborative Practice, Patricia is committed to helping clients navigate one of life's most difficult transitions with clarity and confidence. Her mission is deeply personal-shaped by her own experience with Ontario's court system-which inspired her to helping clients with financial divorce support.
Patricia takes a personalized approach, ensuring every client receives guidance tailored to their unique circumstances and long-term goals.
Beyond her professional work, Patricia is actively involved in her community. She has served as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee for a local not-for-profit, earning an Outstanding Volunteer Achievement Award. She currently serves as a Board Member of Collaborative Practice Durham Region. Patricia lives in Uxbridge, Ontario, and enjoys spending quality time with her children.

She has a particular passion for tax and retirement strategies and often prepares her clients' tax returns to ensure a seamless integration with their financial plan.
What sets Hannah apart is her enthusiasm for making financial concepts come alive. She thrives on helping clients understand the why behind the numbers-connecting the technical details to real-life decisions in a way that builds clarity and confidence.
Her CIM designation supports her work with a wide range of investors, from hands-on DIYers seeking a second opinion to those looking for guidance in selecting a portfolio manager. Her background has also included training in budgeting and the emotional side of money, resulting in an approach that's collaborative, educational, and judgment-free.
When she's not talking taxes, cash flow, and retirement strategy, Hannah can usually be found mountain biking, roller skating, or getting lost in a fantasy novel.

Jason graduated Magna Cum Laude on the Dean’s Honour List with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management from Northwood University in Michigan. He lives in London, Ontario with his wife and children, balancing his professional work with family life and community involvement.

She has a proven track record of cultivating lasting relationships with coworkers, clients, and vendors, thanks to her strong communication skills and action-oriented approach.
Anita began her academic pursuits in Calgary attending S.A.I.T. for their two-year accounting program, while working for a major oil company in their accounting department.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, Anita & her husband enjoy biking in the mountains, gardening, and spending time with their dogs.
Kristina Jumaquio

Kristina is an experienced senior bookkeeper with a strong background in full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, and financial operations for small and mid-sized businesses. Kristina has held senior roles at national and regional accounting firms, where she has supported a diverse client base across industries. Her experience includes managing day-to-day bookkeeping, overseeing payroll and remittances, and maintaining clean, reliable financial data. She is also highly proficient in leading cloud-based accounting platforms, including QuickBooks, Xero, and Dext, helping clients streamline their processes and improve reporting.
Known for her attention to detail, and approachable communication style, Kristina helps clients stay confident that their bookkeeping is handled accurately and efficiently. She lives with her family in Calgary, Alberta and enjoys skiing in her free time.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, Kristina enjoys an active family life with her husband and two children. Together, they love skiing, snowboarding, hiking, playing baseball, and cheering on the Blue Jays.

Outside the office, Theresa loves walking her dog and traveling, and she enjoys reading and exploring local trails. When she has time, she volunteers helping reunite lost animals with their families. A mother of older teens, Theresa previously served as an active school volunteer for many years and brings the same care and accountability to everything she does.

Tax & Accounting Practice Administrator
With over 15 years of experience managing client relationships, Michelle brings a customer service focused approach to client care in the accounting and tax space. Under the mentorship of an FCPA, she has gained hands-on experience supporting clients within a professional services environment, with an emphasis on clear communication and responsiveness.
As a client services professional, Michelle works closely with both clients and internal teams to ensure a smooth, positive experience for everyone. She is known for her attention to detail and her ability to build trusted, long-term relationships.
Michelle holds an honours degree in graphic design from YSDN, the joint York University and Sheridan College program. A lifelong learner, she is passionate about sharing knowledge and has experience teaching chess, robotics, 3D printing, and programming to young learners, as well as guiding adults in basic electronics, business ownership, and navigating the ever-evolving world of technology.
Michelle resides in Toronto with her partner, Adam, and their cat, Bruce Willis.

Melanie brings extensive administrative and operational experience gained through her work in the municipal, private, and legal sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Diploma in Municipal Administration, and a Law Clerk Diploma, and she is continually driven to expand her knowledge and skills.
She lives in Aylmer, Ontario with her partner and their blended family. Melanie loves spending time with her loved ones and cheering them on in all of their activities.
